é fotografa e cientista social. Formada em jornalismo (Ufrj), está cursando doutorado em Ciências Sociais (Uerj) e pesquisa sobre mídias, juventudes, comunicação comunitária, temas ligados aos estudos urbanos e antropologia visual. Fotografa, desde 1996, para veículos editoriais, Ongs, instituições privadas e desenvolve projetos documentais. Foi pesquisadora do ISER (Instituto de Estudos da Religião), onde realizou a exposição fotográfica ‘Em nome do sagrado’, sobre religião no Sistema Socioeducativo. Lecionou fotografia em cursos livres e de graduação. Participa de coletivos de luta por Direitos Humanos, como A Rocinha Resiste e Rocinha Sem Fronteiras. Trabalhou em programas sociais, entre eles a Agência-Escola Imagens do Povo (na Maré), em favelas do Rio de Janeiro por mais de dez anos
